Employment Status and Compensation

Employment Status

As a agent of Alliance America, you will hold an independent contractor status, which means that you‘ll be receiving 1099 compensation. Obviously, being a 1099 contractor has both advantages and disadvantages.

Among the advantages is the possibility of a substantial income tax deduction each year relative to the amount of business miles driven that year.

Additionally, you may also have the ability to defer a portion of your compensation through a Simplified Employee Pension (SEP). Your tax advisor can tell you more about these advantages.

Although some may consider the absence of a base salary or draw a disadvantage, you should also give credence to the fact that being an independent contractor means you have no salary cap either! There’s no waiting for your extra efforts to get recognized for that pay increase.

Your compensation is a direct reflection on your skill, commitment and determination. There’s no waiting for your extra efforts to get recognized with a salary increase.

Compensation

Compensation is paid weekly and directly deposited to your bank account once received by Alliance America. Commissions are very competitive among career agencies.
